Net Zero Builder Training coming to Peterborough, Ottawa
ENERQUALITY • Apr 27, 2016

On April 11-12, EnerQuality had a full house in to our latest workshop, Net Zero Energy/Net Zero Ready home building and the CHBA Net Zero Energy pilot, taught by Andrew Oding of Building Knowledge.
Attendees heard how to achieve the pinnacle of energy efficiency with Net Zero Energy homes. They learned how to prepare to efficiently design and plan for the incoming certification requirements, got a practical understanding of how to build to the program standards, and tips on successfully marketing and selling Net Zero homes.
Other parts of the workshop covered air barrier systems, renewables, mechanical systems, foundations, best practices and consumer benefits.
Additional speakers included Christephanie Uy of EnerQuality, who spoke to the group about the process of registering your homes under the program.
There are at least two more Net Zero Pilot Builder Workshops coming up in 2016, including Peterborough (presented in conjunction with the Peterborough & The Kawarthas HBA and the Endeavour Centre) on June 18-19, and Ottawa on November 23-24 .
